 April 1, 2021

Happy April 1st! Welcome back to my Blog...it's been awhile. I wanted to start with a project I shared on Facebook on Monday. This blog will give you the measurements and instructions for you to copy or change the way you see fit. Let's get started

Supplies Needed

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Night of Navy Cardstock
scrap of Smoky Slate (at least 2" x 2")
4 1/4" x 5 1/4" Basic White (2) might need another scrap for the flowers.
5 1/2" x 1 1/4" Silver Foil
Silver Embossing Powder
White Embossing Powder
Country Home Stampset
Buffalo Check Stampset
Stitched Shapes Dies
Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder
Tin Tile Embossing Folder
Smoky Slate, Just Jade, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake & Night of Navy Stampin' Blends
Night of Navy & Memento Ink

With the Night of Navy Cardstock score the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" (right down the middle). Emboss the Smoky Slate with Pinewood Planks, using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Emboss the Silver Foil with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. With the Basic White cardstock you'll need to diecut the 2 1/4" square (Stitched Shapes Dies, 2 5/8" Square and the 1 3/16" square.

On the 2 5/8" square stamp the milk can. You can either stamp the flower on the milk can (it will not fit but you can use it for lining up the flower). Then stamp the flower on the scrap paper. Color the milk can with the smoky slate blend, using both light and dark to create dimension. color the flowers and leaves. Fussy cut the flowers.

Ink up the Buffalo Check Stampset with the Night of Navy Ink. Line up the 2 1/4" square up wherever you want with the stampset facing up. You will place the square down and then place a scrap paper over and run your hands on the scrap paper so that the square gets inked with the design. Lift the square up and put aside. Ink the Tile piece of the stampset and stamp on the smaller square.

I highly recommend placing the squares and foil piece in the area of the Night of Navy cardstock and playing around with the layout to your satisfaction before taping the pieces down. This will also help you determine where you will stamp the Thanks and the Tin Tile. You will want to do the white embossing powder separate from the Silver. Once you have decided and heat embossed the wording and tile you are ready to tape down the design. You will use dimensionals for the flowers above the milk can.

Let me know if you have any questions and Happy Stamping!
