HO HO HO! Okay so Christmas isn't for 141 days so you can relax, a little. The Holiday Catalog is being released on September 1st. However the Annual Catalog has some AWESOME products available now. I made this card, derived from an idea by Carolyn Bennie. I watched her youtube video and needed to create it at that moment. I love this and will be using other colors to make a rustic look. I'm thinking of using Country Livin' next. What are your ideas?

This is a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" gift card holder. Here is a pic of the inside

I used Cherry Cobbler on the Glossy Paper and used Real Red paper. I felt that it was the right amount of contrast. The dimensions of the glossy paper are 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and the Real Red is 4" x 4". There really isn't any science in making the wood, simply swipe the ink pad down. I would use the side with no lip. Also, it is okay to "drench" a little by leaving it in one spot for a moment. For the black "grain" I used the side and swiped and gently lowered the angle to create more depth. The inside measures 1 1/2" x 4" and I used archival Ink to add the sentiment. Doesn't it look like a wood sign?

Graduation is upon us. What a great time to watch these students/young adults moving into their next phase of life. For this card I didn't hold back on the bling 😊 I used the Large Number Framelits. This is a great framelit set as it has all the numbers needed to celebrate a milestone. Whether a birthday or anniversary, it has you covered. Over the past week I used this framelit on about 10 cards (not even kidding).

I used Pacific Point and shimmer white cardstock (which the camera didn't pick up on). I just realized I used no Stamping on the front! The congrats is from Sunshine Wishes thin lits. There is also Love and Hope die cuts as well. This is a shaker card and what is a shaker card without bling.  I added ALOT to this card lol and it is addicting to keep shaking it.

So, exciting times have happened. The 2017-2018 Catalog went live yesterday. I was able to upload the new copy for all of you to see. Wow! my wish list is huge and I look forward to sharing the projects with you. This year I am going to make more projects and blog more than ever to help share my creativity. I really love the uniqueness of making my own cards or gifts. I'm allowed the freedom to really personalize it for the recipient. This journey will be fun, I promise! Have a Happy Stamping Day!

I created this card with my son's teacher in mind. It is Teacher Appreciation Week and I wanted to show her my appreciation for helping my son succeed in school. He is Autistic and nonverbal so this is an extra special Thank You.

I stamped the city scape twice on the 5 1/2" side. I then used a chalk marker to fill in the windows and waited for it to dry. you can use a heat gun to speed this along. I then colored it in using the Watercolor Pencils (a must have!) with various Comic Book colors. The best part was adding the Watercolor Pen to enhance the color. It gave it that vibrant color so apparent in Comic Books. I was so excited that this technique worked and gave it that color I was looking for. I almost jumped up and down (like a superhero)! I triple stamped the WOW in stazon, Pacific Point and Real Red...offsetting each color. I then used the beam stamp and stamped the background. I used this for the Pacific Point and Real Red background as well. I created the faux black background by just using the Stampin' Up! Black Marker. The Superhero was fussy cut after I colored her in.

I love this card! You could use the same design and just turn around the word WOW to MOM and you have a card for this upcoming Sunday...which is Mother's Day.

As always, please leave your comments. I love reading them. Have a great Stamping Day!

Eastern Palace Suite

Today May 1st is an opportunity to preorder this set from the New Catalog, that hasn't been relesed yet! What?, you say? Yep, this kit is being open TODAY. I absolutely love it. So many options with the dies, I haven' even explored all of them yet.

The colors used are Dapper Denim, Tranquil Tide(New) and Fresh Fig (New). The Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig are part of the 2017-2019 In Colors that will be in the New Catalog (that hasn't been released yet) and you can order starting today! I used the Copper embossing powder for the stamping. This stamp set has so many options. I have a few more ideas that I will be sharing throughout the month. The pieces of card stock behind are 1/4" wide. I lined them up and used the paper snips to make it flush with the Night of Navy cardstock. The pieces that are cut out in the design are 3/4" wide. I temporary taped to a white piece of paper to hold the pieces together and cut. The white piece behind this is our Glimmer White paper. I rounded the corners and taped on another piece of Fresh Fig. Let me know your thoughts :)

Sunshine Wishes for a Happy Birthday

It is almost time to say goodbye to some of the products in the catalog. But don't worry! The new catalog is going to have new favorites for us to love. I created this card to highlight some of the products leaving us by pairing it with products that are staying.

Sadly, the stamp set leaving from this creation is Gorgeous Grunge. I used this in the background. I chose Soft Sky and a 2016-2018 in color Flirty Flamingo. The flowers are from Flower Shop. I cut them out using the pansy punch...no fussy cutting. The yellow cutout flower is from Sunshine Wishes Die cut and is shown in So Saffron. I cut a 1/2 soft sky piece and stamped it with Sunshine Sayings in the same Soft Sky ink color. I used the fringe scissors and accented with Wink of Stella. The silver thread was an afterthought but ties it together. Love this color combo.

With the new catalog fast approaching I will be sending these out as soon as I get them. Please email me your address and I will get your copy out...free of charge :) As always leave me a comment!

I don't know about you but I have been watching April the Giraffe. For those that don't know she is a 15 year old Giraffe who is very pregnant and has had millions of views and well wishers waiting for the arrival of her baby. I'm not sure what a baby giraffe is called, I'll have to "google" it later :) Anyways, I wanted to send something to her at the Zoo once the little one arrives. I think we are into day 10 with no baby yet.

I used the Balloon Builders stamp set to stamp the giraffe. It is product 140645 and located on page 60 of the Annual Catalog. I have links for the catalogs on the side panels. To make the background I used the versatile Work of Art located on page 122. This is product 134111 for the wood set and 134114 for the clear set. The colors chose are So Saffron and Soft Suede. I rounded the corners. The tail is retired brown sugar twine. You could also use the Linen Thread which is current and product 104199

Let me know what you think! Also, only 24 more days for Sale-A-Bration. For every $50 you get a free product from the Sale-A-Bration Flyer. The links are on the side. Also, new product was added and available. That is in Leaflet 2. I cannot wait to get my glimmer paper...will have a project soon for that. Till next time...
